If you order from the online shop we will collect and store: your name, your email address, your telephone number, as well as information about your visit to the island (date and time of arrival, where you are staying). We collect this information so that we can confirm your order and provide you with the goods that you have ordered from us. We will only use your telephone number if we need to check something with you or in an emergency where we have been unable to contact you via email.
If you choose to buy products from the online shop we do not take payment online and therefore do not collect any payment card data.
If you fill in the newsletter subscription form we will collect and store your name and your email address. This information is stored in MailChimp’s database as they handle our news distribution. We rely on their confirmed compliance for this, and check it regularly.
If you follow us on third party platforms such as Facebook and Instagram you will be relying on their data protection.
Who we share your data with
We only share personalised data with third parties who provide services that you have expressly requested the use of. We share anonymised data with third parties for analytical purposes. These services and third parties are as follows.
If you enter your email address in the newsletter subscription form, we will pass it onto Mailchimp who provide our news distribution system.
If you browse the website, we collect anonymised data about your browsing journey which is subject to analysis by Google Analytics, a Google service that provides us with useful statistical analysis of our website audience.

How long we retain your data and what rights you have over your data
If you leave your email address on our website or if you order from us we will store that information indefinitely unless you request that we remove the data from our system, which you can do at any time. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

All customer orders are electronically stored on a secure webserver hosted by Siteground Hosting Ltd which is physically located in London. This server is physically accessible by Siteground technicians and is accessed electronically by us using encrypted connections to the internet.
Access to the server that hosts the St Agnes Post Office Stores website is via computer systems which have anti-virus and malware protection measures as well as back-up facilities.
